About

Who We Are

The Presidential Ambassador Program is made up of three individual programs. Each one represents a group of leaders who exemplify Mountaineer values and desire to make a positive impact on and for West Virginia University.

The three programs are:

Presidential Student Ambassadors (PSAs)

A Presidential Student Ambassador is a WVU student leader who was selected for the Presidential Student Ambassador program because they exemplify Mountaineer values and desire to make a positive impact on and for West Virginia University. PSAs work closely with WVU Student Engagement and Leadership and WVU Center for Service and Learning in order to become Certified Student Leaders at the conclusion of the first PSA class: Presidential Student Ambassadors – Leading and Serving. In the second class, PSA - Speakers Bureau, the students record peer-advice speeches on a variety of topics related to Generation Z and the college experience. They also participate in University/Alumni/Foundation events upon request.

Presidential Augusta Ambassadors (PAAs)

A Presidential Augusta Ambassador is a graduate of WVU who was inducted into the prestigious Order of Augusta, and who has accomplished a long-lasting impact professionally, been recognized for significant career contributions and/or achievement, inspired excellence in others, demonstrated commitment to the well-being of others, and engaged with the WVU community.

Presidential Distinguished Ambassadors (PDAs)

A Presidential Distinguished Ambassador is a graduate or friend of WVU who has accomplished a long-lasting impact professionally, been recognized for significant career contributions and/or achievement, inspired excellence in others,  demonstrated commitment to the well-being of others, and formally engaged with the West Virginia University community.
